Deadlines Drawing Near (Again!)

Well, since January 2004, the Friends have consistently missed out on private and public grants and low interest loans of up to 3 million dollars for the restoration of Mount Vernon Place. Here are the deadlines for FY 2007. Will the Friends once again win the (not) coveted Missed Opportunities Award in '06 and walk away with another pathetic 15K from the Holly Tour? Getty Architectural Conservation Implementation Grant
$250,000 maximum
Deadline: April 1, 2006

Save America's Treasures Grant
$700,000 maximum Federal share
Deadline: April 18, 2006

Maryland Historical Trust Capital Grant for FY2007
$50,000 maximum
Deadline: December 9, 2005 (whoops! already missed this one!)

National Trust Historic Preservation Loan
$350,000 maximum

Maryland Historical Trust Historic Preservation Loan
up to $300,000

So, there you have it. Up to $1,650,000 in real money available from just the obvious sources. That doesn't even include the Baltimore Community Foundation, Goldseker Foundation, the France-Merrick Foundation, the Abell Foundation, or a whole host of other local and regional philanthropic organizations.
